About

DynoTex is up and running in North Texas with a  brand new mobile Dynojet 248 chassis dyno. This unit is state of the art and has all available Dynojet options.

This dyno can handle up to 1800 hp and is the ultimate tuning tool when used properly. We do cars, motorcyles, and trucks up to 1-Ton "dually", gas or diesel, front or rear wheel drive. We do not have ability to do "full time 4 wheel" unless you can "uncouple" a set of driving wheels.

We monitor A/F ratio via an AFM-1000 wide-band O2 sensor and can handle unleaded race fuel. A/F can be measured in the tailpipe or directly in the car's O2 sensor port. If you have an older car wihtout an O2 sensor, we recommend welding a "bung" in the header collector for serious tuning as tailpipe readings are not as accurate due to the distance from the engine. Getting a reading from the collector on older cars, or the O2 sensor on newer cars, is extremely accurate reading and much better for tuning the fuel curve.

Boost pressure and air temp can be monitored at two separate locations. This gives us capability to look at boost before and after a turbo, supercharger, or intercooler to check for efficiency or any possible problems. This setup can also be used to check for exhaust system back-pressure if you have fittings welded to your system allowing hookup of small diameter vacuum line.

This DynoJet has "proportional braking" otherwise known as "steady state" tuning. The computer can be given a max rpm and at that rpm the "dyno brake" applies to keep the engine from exceeding the set RPM limit. via a dyno braking system. This can be used to tune at a certain rpm or rpm range, or used to "break-in" parts and engines on the dyno by creating "drag" on the mechanical parts.

It is equipped with a Competition Data Acquisition Systems computer, and an onboard weather station which monitors temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. We also have  winch for cars with ceramic clutches that cannot be driven normally.

If you have a motorcycle we can "split" the dyno axle and do motorcycles on each dyno drum. The DynoJet is the ultimate tuning tool and is only limited by your mechanical imagination.
